The Importance of Chlorine and Shock in Pool Maintenance

Chlorine (3 Inch Tablets) is essential for a clear and healthy pool. Shock (Calcium Hypochlorite) rapidly raises chlorine levels, while chlorine tabs maintain them. Both are necessary: shock ensures high enough chlorine levels for full sanitization, and tabs prevent chlorine from dissipating. Shock the pool every 1-2 weeks, more often in hot weather or with increased use. Replace tabs as needed.
